Jonathan
M. Dunitz graduated in 1988 from Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York and is a 1993 magna cum laude graduate of the Syracuse University College of Law. At Ithaca College, Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts
in history with a minor in music. While at Ithaca College he was President of the Ithaca College Chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a Professional Music Fraternity and a member of the Leadership Advisory
Council. At Syracuse University College of Law, he was Lead Articles Editor of the Syracuse Law Review, a member of the International Semifinalist Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Team and
an instructor in the legal research and writing program. Jonathan began his law practice with our firm, and then maintained his own entertainment law practice and practiced commercial and employment litigation
as Of Counsel to The Bennett Law Firm for several years. Jonathan rejoined Friedman Gaythwaite Wolf & Leavitt in 2003, practicing in the areas of commercial litigation, insurance coverage, employment
litigation, product liability and appellate advocacy. He is admitted in all courts in Maine.
Jonathan lives in Portland, Maine. He is an Eagle Scout and enjoys fishing, golf, photography and performing on trumpet with various ensembles throughout Maine and New England.
