Elissa A. Tisdahl graduated from Bates College in 2000 and is a 2003 graduate from Chicago Kent College of Law where she was a member of the Phillip C. Jessup International Law Moot court team and won honorable mention for best brief. Elissa also served as an editor for the Intellectual Property Law Journal. Before law school, Elissa researched medical and legal issues involving the heart, cancer, viral diseases and infections, patenting of the human genome, cloning, stem cell research, reproductive technologies and genetic technologies. Following law school, Elissa worked for a litigation firm in Chicago where she handled various types of personal injury cases including product liability, medical malpractice, construction injuries, and premises liability. Elissa is admitted to practice in Maine and Illinois as well as before the Patent and Trademark Office.
Elissa lives in Portland with her husband Zach who is a physician. In her free time Elissa enjoys reading, skiing, running, swimming and traveling.
